The “Lincoln Park Mountain Bike Challenge” is this Saturday, July 24, 2010. Lincoln Parkway will be closed starting at 9:00 a.m. for event setup. At 12:30 p.m. Skyline Parkway from 24th to 28th Avenues West will close to traffic. The bicyclists will go north on Lincoln Park Drive, west on Skyline Parkway, north on 28th Avenue West, where they will travel off road, and return along the same roadways.
Motorists are encouraged to detour around this area using West Third Street, and 24th and 40th Avenues West. Motorists should be alert to bicyclists in the roadway and officers directing traffic in the Lincoln Park area.
The roadways should be back to normal traffic by approximately 5:00 p.m.
