INCIDENT LOCATION: 2nd Avenue East and 3rd Street

Update: Police confirm a person was shot this morning

[Duluth, MN] The Duluth Police Department can confirm after further investigating the crime scene that an individual was shot this morning. However, the extent of the person’s injuries is unknown at this time. Witnesses in the area provided statements to police that the individual who was shot left the scene on their own volition. Police investigators are continuing to work to identify all involved parties.

The Duluth Police Department does not believe that there is a threat to the public at this time.

Police are asking the public for help in collecting additional information on this morning's shooting. If you were in the area of 2nd Avenue East and 3rd Street before or at 8:00 a.m., you are asked to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 218-730-5050.
