Police investigating stabbing in the East Hillside Neighborhood

[Duluth, MN] At 9:50 p.m. on April 29, Duluth Police Officers responded to 820 East 4th Street after a report of a male who had been stabbed and ran into the laundromat.  Information obtained early in the investigation concluded that the stabbing had occurred outside near 7th Avenue East and 4th Street.  Police were given the identity of the suspect based on statements taken from the victim at the scene. Officers looked for the suspect who was no longer on-scene. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.  The suspect and victim were known to each other and this was not a random act of violence.

The victim has been taken to a local hospital where his condition is currently not known.  This incident is under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
