Key election dates and information for the 2021 August Municipal Primary

[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.  The Duluth City Clerk’s Office would like to highlight important dates leading up to the Primary and encourages all Duluth citizens to stay informed, get involved and to get out and vote!

Duluth City Council At-Large (Two Seats)

Duluth City Council Second District

Duluth City Council Fourth District

DATES TO REMEMBER!

  • Primary Election – August 10, 2021 – Polls Open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Vote Early [Absentee In-Person or by Mail] Beginning - June 25, 2021
  • Last Day to Pre-Register to Vote – July 20, 2021

Voters who miss this deadline may still register at their polling place on Primary Election Day.

 

REGISTER TO VOTE TODAY!

Duluth residents can register to vote by doing one of the following:

  • Register online by going to www.mnvotes.org
  • Fill out a Voter Registration Application available on the City Clerk’s webpage at: http://duluthmn.gov/city-clerk/election-and-voter-info/ and deliver it in person or by mail to the Duluth City Clerk (318 City Hall, 411 W. 1st. St., Duluth, MN 55802) or the St. Louis County Voter Registration Office (214 St. Louis County Courthouse, 100 N. 5th Ave. W., Duluth, MN 55802).
  • Register at the polls on Election Day or when applying for or renewing your driver’s license.  Find your polling place by visiting https://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/

 

VOTE EARLY ABSENTEE! 

Beginning June 25th, Duluth residents can vote early in person at Duluth City Hall (411 W. 1st. St., Duluth, MN 55802- Enter off of Priley Circle) or by mail.  Absentee applications are available in the City Clerk’s Office or through the Secretary of State’s Office: www.mnvotes.org

The City Clerk’s Office will be open the following days and times for early voting:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 7, 2021 – 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday, August 9, 2021 – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday, August 9, 2021 is the last day to vote absentee.
