Aerial Lift Bridge currently experiencing electrical problems

 

The Aerial Lift Bridge is experiencing electrical problems and is currently not able to descend.  The City of Duluth engineers are on site and assessing the problem which may be a result of the thunderstorms and lighting.  Crews are working to lower the Bridge manually but it is unknown how long it will take to reach the proper position for traffic to pass. 

 

Motorists are asked to be patient as crews work to lower the Bridge. 

Updates will be forthcoming as they are available.
