INCIDENT LOCATION: Hwy 61 near Congdon Blvd
Duluth Police respond to high speed car crash on Highway 61
[Duluth, MN] This morning at 6:13 a.m., Duluth Police responded to report of a crash on Highway 61 near Congdon Boulevard. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Chevy Malibu driven by a 30-year-old male from Shakopee was southbound on Highway 61 at high rate of speed. The vehicle collided with railroad lights and a guardrail. The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment with injuries not believed to be life threatening. Speed and driver impairment are believed to be contributing factors in the crash.
This incident is under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
