SUBJECT: Duluth Police Department assist Superior Police Department in arresting drive-by shooting suspect

At 2 p.m., Friday, July 9, Duluth Police Officers stopped a vehicle on 24th Ave W and 3rd St that was in relation to a search warrant that Superior Police Department was executing. That search warrant was in relation to a recent drive-by shooting incident that happened on Thursday, June 17 in Superior, Wisconsin.

Duluth Police Officers confirmed that the suspect in Superior’s drive-by shooting was the passenger in the vehicle, identified as 25-year-old Raeqwon Jay Hawkins. Hawkins was arrested and booked in the St. Louis County Jail on pending charges of Attempted Homicide.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 25-year-old Alexis Nicole Labonte, was booked for pending charges of Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle.

This is an ongoing investigation. Any further information will be released by the Superior Police Department.
