INCIDENT LOCATION: Speedway on E 4th St
At 7:57 p.m., Sunday, August 22, 2021, the Duluth Police Department was dispatched to the 600 block of E 4th St on a report of a fight happening in the parking lot involving a gun. Upon arrival, all parties involved were gone.
Officers spoke to a witness who provided a description of the individuals involved in the altercation. Officers located the vehicle the witness described and conducted a traffic stop. A gun and a bag of cocaine were located in the vehicle.
The witness positively identified 35-year-old Harvey Brown as the individual who had the weapon in the altercation. Brown was booked in the St. Louis County Jail on pending charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and 3rd Degree Possession of Drugs.
Duluth Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is continuously working to keep individuals accountable for their actions and to protect the City of Duluth by taking weapons off the streets.
