Lane changes planned for Garfield Ave in Duluth

 

Starting August 4, 2010, there will be lane changes on Garfield Avenue to help alleviate traffic delays and congestion.  Southbound traffic on Garfield Ave will have to merge right on to one lane near the Railroad Street intersection.  Motorists heading south on Garfield Ave will not be allowed to make left turns onto Railroad Street. 

Traffic headed Northbound on Garfield Ave will have a "right turn only" lane onto Railroad Street. 

This change will allow easier left turns from Railroad Street onto Garfield Avenue and should help with the delays at this intersection.
