SUBJECT: Duluth Police Officers Respond to Report of Shots Fired Monday Night

INCIDENT TIME: 11:30 p.m.
INCIDENT LOCATION: 100 block of W 1st St
At around 11:30 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2021, Duluth Police Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of W 1st Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers spoke to multiple witnesses who stated a male drove by the area and fired several shots outside. Surveillance video was reviewed, which located a vehicle that matched the description witnesses provided. Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot on the 300 block of S Lake Ave. Contact was made with the suspect, who's identified as a 33-year-old male. He complied with officers and admitted to shooting his gun in the air several times after an altercation occurred. Officers located the gun and seized it for evidence. No one was injured in this incident. Charges are forthcoming pending further investigation.
