SUBJECT: Duluth Public Library to add new content streaming service, Hoopla Digital!
BY: Lyanne Valdez

[Duluth, MN] The Duluth Public Library will be adding Hoopla Digital in the new year. The service will allow DPL cardholders to instantly read, watch, and listen to their choice of more than 950,000 titles, for free.

The popular service will be available to DPL cardholders on Saturday, January 1st, 2022.
Content like audiobooks, eBooks, comics, music, movies, and TV can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device, or platform by downloading the hoopla digital app for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast, or Roku.

Hoopla Digital has pioneered a unique model that allows patrons to borrow content immediately, removing artificial availability constraints and maximizing the power of digital content and Internet distribution.

"We are excited to add this streaming service to the Duluth Public Library’s digital offerings, thanks to funding from the Duluth Library Foundation. With just a few clicks, library patrons can borrow music, movies, audiobooks, graphic novels, and more. It’s easy, convenient, and available 24/7," said DPL Manager, Carla Powers.

The hoopla digital collection includes fan-favorite movies, newly released albums, New York Times bestselling titles, and exclusive STEAM educational content to enhance each user's experience.

To use Hoopla Digital you'll need your DPL card number and pin.

This new service will only be available for Duluth Library cardholders. Arrowhead Library cardholders and Port cardholders can continue borrowing eBooks and audiobooks with Libby by Overdrive.
