Duluth Public Arts Commission opens RFP for the Lincoln Park Light Projection Project

[Duluth, MN] The Duluth Public Arts Commission (DPAC) Duluth is seeking artists to submit artwork for a temporary installation in the Lincoln Park Business District. Projections will be lit on three different exterior walls within the District and will align with the Love'n Lincoln Park event. Final dates for the projections are still yet to be determined and will be released in January.

Selected pieces will be paid $250 per piece for their temporary use. The deadline to apply is January 10, 2022.

“The Duluth Public Arts Commission is eager to partner with our local arts community in displaying their work and partnering with the Lincoln Park Business District to get folks outside in what hopes to be an annual event,” DPAC Commissioner Noah Hobbs said.

Artists can submit up to two designs to the Request for Proposals. Applications are now open and can be found at the following link dpac-lp-light-rfp.pdf (duluthmn.gov).  For more information about DPAC, and programs like the Lincoln Park Light Projection Project please visit: https://duluthmn.gov/boards-commissions/duluth-public-arts-commission/.

The Public Arts Commission encourages residents and visitors alike to get outside, enjoy the lights, artwork and to support local businesses within the district.
