Duluth Police K9 utilized to apprehend individual

At approximately 3:09 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022, Duluth Police Officers responded to an alarm call at 27 Liquor located in the 2700 block of W Michigan St. Upon arrival, officers noticed an individual on the roof. More officers responded and surrounded the building. A short time later, the individual, later identified as 27-year-old Duluth resident Page Howze, was seen inside the building.
 
After multiple unsuccessful attempts to get Howze to comply with officers commands, K9 Vili was deployed. K9 Vili apprehended Howze. Howze was transported to the St. Louis County Jail and was lodged on multiple pending charges including two counts of Burglary, 4th Degree Criminal Damage to Property, and Theft.
 
Great work by responding officers and K9 Vili who swiftly apprehended Howze and held him accountable for his actions.
