2022 Citizen Police Academy
The Duluth Police Department is looking for a dozen more individuals to attend the 2022 Citizen Police Academy (CPA). This academy will take place every Wednesday evening starting March 9 and will run until May 25.
“As we are planning this year’s CPA, we are closely following the trends in COVID to ensure participant safety,” said Chief Mike Tusken. “The CPA helps build relationships, allows citizens a better opportunity to understand certain operations and divisions within DPD, while also getting hands-on police experience.”
CPA offers citizens both in-field and in the classroom instruction regarding different tactics, operations, and divisions. There will be multiple opportunities for questions to gain a better understanding of Duluth Police practices and procedures, and the reasons for them. Our goal is to unit our citizens and police officers as we work together to create a safe Duluth for all.
If you’d like to get a better understanding of police operations and how DPD serves the City of Duluth, then sign up for the CPA on our website here: https://duluthmn.gov/police/citizen-opportunities/citizen-police-academy/
