City crews will remove snow in Canal Park and Spirit Valley beginning Wednesday, January 26

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth will be removing snow in the Canal Park and Spirit Valley Business Districts beginning Wednesday, January 26. 

City crews plan to remove snow on Wednesday, January 26, in Canal Park. Crews will begin removing snow at 2:00 a.m and expect to finish in this area by 3:00 p.m. Snow will be removed on the following streets:

  • Canal Park Drive from Railroad Street to      Cul-de-sac  
  • Buchanan Street/Morse Street from South      Lake Avenue to Canal Park Drive 
  • South Lake Avenue from Railroad Street to      the Ariel Lift Bridge.

On Thursday, January 27, crews will remove snow in the Spirit Valley Business District. City staff will follow the same snow removal timeframe as in Canal Park, beginning at 2:00 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. Crews will remove snow on the following streets within this district:

  • North Central Avenue from Cody Street to      I-35 North entrance ramps
  • Grand Avenue from 59th Avenue West to      Central Avenue

If crews can, they also plan to remove snow on Ramsey Street following snow removal in the Spirit Valley Business District on January 27. Crews plan to remove snow from 57th Avenue West to 54th Avenue West along with Bristol Street from North Central Avenue to 54th Avenue West. Signs will be posted for no parking in these areas in the hope of removing snow on the same day. 

No parking signs will be posted in the areas listed above from 2:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on the day of removal. These signs will be posted ahead of time to notify residents. Any vehicle parked on the streets mentioned above will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
