Duluth Police Make Early Morning Burglary Arrest

 

On 081310, at approximately 0500 hours, Duluth Police Officers made contact with two suspicious persons in the 2300 block of West Superior Street.  During that contact, officers identified the parties and they were eventually released. 

 

A short time later, officers were made aware of a burglary that had occurred in the 2400 block of West Superior Street.  Through this investigation, officers were able to gather forensic evidence which was linked to one of the suspicious persons from the earlier stop.

 

Officers were able to locate the two parties a second time and arrested a male suspect identified as Scott Alan Diemert, dob/06/24/1963. The second person, a female acquaintance was later released.  Stolen property from the burglary was found in Diemert’s possession.

 

Diemert was lodged at the St. Louis County Jail on charges of 3rd degree burglary.  Diemert has several prior arrests and convictions for burglary and other crimes.
