City asks natural gas customers east of Lake Avenue to keep thermostats at 62 degrees until further notice
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth would like to thank natural gas customers East of Lake Avenue for turning down their thermostat to 62 degrees. The City is asking those residents to continue to keep heat at 62 degrees until further notice. The reason for this request is to keep the heat on for all residents, instead of shutting off heat for specific areas. These efforts are helping, are keeping our system from being overburdened, and are appreciated. Crews have been working to fix this gas main under difficult conditions and that work is progressing along.
The City will provide an update on social media, press release, and a Northland Alert when this request has been lifted. To sign up for a Northland Alert, please visit https://member.everbridge.net/index/453003085616005#/signup.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
