Duluth Police Officers Arrest Individual on Multiple Pending Charges
At approximately 10:40 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2022, Duluth Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a car in a snowbank at the intersection of 69th Ave W and Raleigh St. Officers responded and located a male, later identified as 30-year-old Carlton resident Paul Booker, who appeared to be passed out in the driver’s seat. Next to him in the passenger seat was a handgun. Responding officers were able to unlock the vehicle with an unlock kit and secure the handgun. It was later discovered the handgun was loaded.
He was detained and transported to a local hospital for a DWI chemical test. No one was injured in this incident.
Booker was booked in the St. Louis County Jail on pending charges of DWI, Felon in Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Introduce Drugs into Correctional Facility, Carry Pistol Without a Permit, and Carry Pistol While Under the Influence. Good work by responding officers for safely apprehending Booker.
