Two Arrested in Ongoing Drug Investigation
At approximately 1:42 p.m., Friday, March 25, the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force (LSDVCTF) executed a search warrant of a home in the 400 block of E 6th St. This home was part of an ongoing drug investigation.
Duluth Police Officers assisted the LSDVCTF and conducted a traffic stop near the home. During the stop, Officers arrested 33-year-old Duluth resident Robert Winston who had probable cause for his arrest. He was booked in the St. Louis County Jail on pending charges of 1st Degree Drug Sale Charges.
During the search warrant of the house, Investigators with the LSDVCTF arrested 29-year-old Duluth resident Malcolm Lewis on pending charges of 1st Degree Drug Sale Charges. LSDVCTF seized $1,685 in cash, drug packaging, and other evidence of drug sales. With the use of K9 Vili, 52 grams of hidden heroin/fentanyl was also located and seized.
