The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities department is resuming work on the storm sewer improvements on Park Point

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities department is resuming work on the storm sewer improvement project that began last fall of 2021. The work will begin on Monday, May 23.

The work for the installation of several new storm sewer pipes and drainage structures to provide services drain connections for sump pump discharge pipes under the sidewalk and curb along Minnesota Avenue for the 1400 block, 1500-1600 blocks, and 1800 block will generally occur during the period of May 23, 2022 through July 29, 2022.

There will be temporary loss of on-street parking, temporary driving lane shifts, and temporary sidewalk closures to accommodate the work. Some resident driveway access may be shut down for several days at a time while work is done immediately in front of those homes. Those residents will be notified a couple days in advance in order to minimize the inconvenience.
