City of Duluth to host public meeting regarding upcoming Raleigh Street reconstruction project
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth will host a public meeting on July 7, 2022 regarding the upcoming Raleigh Street reconstruction project. This meeting is to gather the public’s feedback for the project and to see the current project concept.
The City of Duluth will host this public information meeting on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at City Center West (5830 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN) regarding the design of the Raleigh Street reconstruction project.
The design and engineering of the project will take place in 2022, with construction scheduled for 2023. Funding for the project will come from Municipal State Aid for Streets and Water Utility funds.
The scope of work for the project includes:
- Full reconstruction of the street, sidewalks, and utilities from Grand Avenue/Hwy 23 to 59th Avenue West
- Replacement and installation of a new water main
- Replacement and installation of new storm water infrastructure
- ADA improvements
- Multimodal improvements for cyclists and other light-weight human and electric powered devices
The meeting will include a brief presentation from the City’s design consultants. Following the presentation, participants will have an opportunity to share their input about the corridor and the meeting will end with a question and answer session.
This meeting is the first of three that will be held. The dates of the second and third meetings are forthcoming.
