INCIDENT LOCATION: 300 block of E 5th St
Duluth Police Officers Respond to Report of Stabbing
At approximately 11:50 a.m., Thursday, July 14, a Duluth Police Officer was flagged down and was told that an individual was stabbed on the 300 block of E 5th St. Officers responded and located a 45-year-old male who was injured with an apparent stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officers recovered the knife on scene and detained a 39-year-old female, later identified as Crystal Sargent, without incident. Sargent was transported to the St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of 2nd Degree Assault. Both the victim and Sargent were known to each other. This remains an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
