City of Duluth seeks Election Day Runners and Absentee Judges
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth seeks Election Day Runners and Absentee Judges for the upcoming November 8, 2022 General Election.
Election Day Runners and Absentee Judges are critical to the overall operations of the General Election.
Election Day Runners are needed the day of the election from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm (times may change). Election Day Runners start their day by visiting each polling place to make sure the election judges are set for the day. They respond to any issues that arise at the polling places they are assigned to. Election Day Runners need to be knowledgeable in election rules and practices. Runners are compensated for mileage and are required to use their own vehicle.
Absentee Judges are needed the week before and the day of the General Election. An absentee judge assists in the review of absentee ballots that are returned to the City Clerk’s office as well as process absentee ballots the week before the election.
The City is looking for individuals with attention to detail, varying political backgrounds, and prior election experience.
Openings are limited and the City Clerk’s office will review all applicants by September 19, 2022.
