Officers Arrest Individual Involved in Burglary in Progress

At approximately 9 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2022, Duluth Police Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress at a business on West Superior Street. Upon arrival, witnesses stated that they observed a male break a window with a crowbar and steal items from the display. Officers quickly observed a male matching the description given by witnesses walking nearby. The male, later identified as 36-year-old Duluth resident Nicolas Devault, was apprehended without incident. Devault was lodged in the St. Louis County Jail on 3rd Degree Burglary and Possession of Burglary Tools.

Good work by B shift for quickly and safely apprehending the individual and returning the stolen property to its rightful owner.
