City of Duluth announces upcoming Park Fund Referendum informational sessions
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth is announcing three upcoming Park Fund Referendum informational sessions.
These sessions will include a brief presentation from Mayor Emily Larson, Director of Property, Parks, and Libraries Jim Filby Williams, and will have other City staff on hand to answer questions. Parks and Rec liaison and City Councilor Terese Tomanek as well as Council Vice President Janet Kennedy will be attending the first meeting on October 11. The presentation will highlight key information regarding Parks funding, the question that will be before voters on November 8, and provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions, provide feedback, and learn more.
The dates, times, and locations of these three informational sessions are below:
- Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm at Morgan Park Community Center
- Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm at Harrison Community Center
- Friday, October 28, 2022 from 8:30 am – 10:00 am at Portman Community Center
These dates, times, and locations were chosen to provide geographic equity, as well as offering varying times throughout the day to allow options that may fit with different schedules of residents interested in attending.
