DPD vs. DFD Fundraising Basketball Event
On Sunday, October 23, at Ordean East Middle School, members of the Duluth Police Department, Duluth Minnesota Fire Department, and Starks Academy will be playing in the revitalized event, Slam Jam. The event will begin with a basketball game between the Duluth Police Department and the Duluth Fire Department at 12:30 p.m. The winner of that game will then play against a Starks Academy Youth AAU team.
At halftime of the games, and in between games, there will be contests for kids and community members to participate in. Doors will open at noon so plan to arrive early to meet and talk with all the players.
There is a suggested donation of $5 at the door and all proceeds will be donated to the Northland Youth Basketball Alliance to further their mission of expanding basketball opportunities for youth in our area.
