Duluth Police Arrest Individual for Multiple Pending Charges
UPDATE:
At approximately 8:50 p.m., 19-year-old Matthew Closson was arrested without incident at the 4500 block of Norwood St. The Duluth Police Department is requesting charges for Possession of an Illegal Firearm, Fleeing on Foot, and Attempted Murder. This was an isolated incident as both parties knew each other. No one was injured during this incident.
ORIGINAL:
At approximately 2:45 p.m., Duluth Police Officers responded to the 100 block of N 1st W for a report that a male was threatening an individual with a gun. The suspected male fled the area before officers arrived. After initial investigation, officers received a report that the male was in the Lakeside neighborhood. An extensive search of the area was conducted. The search was terminated without locating the suspected male. There is currently no active threat to the community. This is an active and ongoing investigation.
