City of Duluth to host virtual public meeting regarding upcoming 3rd Street reconditioning project
The City of Duluth will host a public meeting virtually on November 9, 2022 regarding the reconditioning of 3rd Street between Mesaba Avenue and 12th Avenue East. The meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams from 7:00 p to 8:00 p. This meeting is to gather the public’s feedback for the project and to see the current project concept and design. The scope of work for the project includes:
- Street resurfacing and concrete repairs.
- Traffic signal study and recommendations.
- Spot storm, curb and gutter replacement.
- Pedestrian improvements, including adding ADA compliant curb ramps.
- Multimodal improvements for cyclists and other lightweight human- and electric-powered devices.
The public meeting will begin with a brief overview of the project by City staff. Participants will then have an opportunity to share input about the corridor and participate in a question and answer session.
