City of Duluth to hold two public meetings on upcoming 2023 street project on First Avenue East

 

The City of Duluth will hold two public meetings on the City’s upcoming 2023 project for the reconstruction of 1st Avenue East between Superior Street and 3rd Street. This street and utility project will involve construction of new roadway pavement and sidewalks as well as water main replacement, new hot water mains, and storm sewer replacement.  To allow for maximum public participation, two public meeting session options will be offered on Thursday, November 17, 2022 to provide information regarding the project and gather feedback.

The first meeting will be held at noon and will be a virtual meeting.  The second meeting will be an in-person meeting.  Building owners in the immediate vicinity of the project are encouraged to attend the in-person meeting to discuss project coordination needs, including the need for building inspection, building utility service interruptions, and construction staging issues with project staff.
