Second Street open to traffic next week
The City of Duluth is completing its work to recondition Second Street between 4th Ave East and 24th Avenue East. The street will officially be open to traffic on Monday, September 13, 2010.
The project included utility improvements, storm sewer and sanitary sewer spot repair, and hydrant replacement. Additional work will be completed restoring boulevards and sod but this work should not interrupt traffic.
This is the second phase of the Second Street reconditioning project and was funded with State Trunk Highway Turn Back funds. This phase cost approximately $3.5 million.
