SUBJECT: Water valve repair planned for September 18
BY: Pakou Ly
Water valve repair planned for September 18 -
Impacted areas: Duluth Heights, Miller Hill Mall, Duluth Airport
The City of Duluth utility crews will be replacing a water valve on Saturday, September 18th from 10:00 P.M. until 8:00 A.M. Sunday, September 19, 2010. This upgrade is important to provide reliable and sufficient water service to residents and businesses in the “Highland Water System.” The repair is necessary as this valve is part of the main feed line to these neighborhoods. As a result of this work, residents and businesses in the Highland Water System will experience a water outage during the designated period.
The area affected is roughly bounded by Haines Road to the west, Arlington Avenue to the east, Central Entrance to the south, and Airport Road to the north. (Please also see map)
Information will be available to the public if there are changes to the repair schedule. The public can access the information by calling (218) 730-4000.
The City of Duluth appreciates the patience and cooperation of the public as we work to improve water service to residents and businesses.
