DPD Recovers Stolen Property and Lodges Violent Offender

Duluth Police Investigators followed up on an auto theft with a stolen gun that occurred on Saturday, April 22. After conducting a thorough investigation, an individual suspected of being responsible was located today in the 400 block of E 7th St. The male, later identified as 30-year-old Duluth resident Ephriam Burks, fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Burks was detained. Burks was in possession of the stolen firearm and two stolen vehicles were also recovered. Burks was lodged at the county jail for multiple felony warrants and additional pending charges. Good work by DPD investigators for taking a violent offender off the street and recovering stolen property.
