Public meeting to discuss 36 Ave East reconstruction

The City of Duluth Engineering division will be holding a public input meeting for the upcoming 36^th Avenue East Reconstruction Project which is scheduled for summer 2011. The public meeting will be held at the Congdon Park Elementary School Library (3116 East Superior Street) on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 6:30 PM.

This project is a component of the Mayor’s Street Improvement Program aimed at repairing 100 miles of Duluth roads over five years.  The 36^th Ave project involves full reconstruction of 36th Avenue East, from Superior Street up to East 4^th Street. A short presentation will be followed by discussion in small groups. Discussions will be limited to the roadway section and features that meet the needs of the neighborhood and general land use planning in order to achieve the city’s goal of developing Complete Streets for all users.
