Tuesday, June 20 at West Duluth Branch – 5830 Grand Avenue
West Duluth Book Bingo – 6:00 - 7:00 pm: Spend an exciting night winning free books at Book Bingo—the bingo numbers have been replaced with book covers or pictures. Tuesday night’s theme is animals.

Wednesday, June 21 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Musical Story Hour - 10:15 - 11:00 am: Join the Music Together in the Valley program to build early learning skills through music, movement, and play with your children, ages birth-5. Visit https://musictogetherclasses.org for more information on the Music Together program.

Wednesday, June 21 at West Duluth Branch– 5830 Grand Avenue
West Duluth Branch Family Storytime - 10:15 - 10:45 am: Join us each Wednesday morning at the West Duluth Branch for stories, songs, and fingerplays for children from birth to kindergarten and their grownups! The focus will be on having fun and sharing the joy of learning essential early literacy skills.

Wednesday, June 21 at Mt. Royal Branch – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Growing Shiitake Mushrooms Workshop – 5:30 - 7:30 pm:  Join Shawn Bernhardt, local educator and mushroom grower, for a presentation on growing this delicious fungus at home. This informational and hands-on workshop will demonstrate how to start a shiitake mushroom log and go over information about the supplies needed, growing conditions, and harvesting skills. Participants will not receive a mushroom log from this workshop. Registration required.

Monarch Buddies - 2:00 - 3:00 pm: Learn all about the importance of pollinators, how to care for a growing caterpillar and about the life cycle of butterflies. Duluth Monarch Buddies will join us to share information about these beautiful and vital creatures.

Adult Artist Summer Camp: Zines - 6:00 - 7:00 pm: Have a message to share? Have an obsession? Make a Zine! These little books will soon be your favorite way to create art! All you have to do is pick a theme: will it be about bees, the cabbage you bought at the grocery store, a day in the life of the pigeon that sits outside your window? Whatever you wish, make it into a Zine!

Stuffed Animal Adoption - 11:00 am - 2:00 pm: The library has been the home for a large collection of stuffed animals for a long time. Now, they need a new home and new people to take care of them. So, we’re asking YOU to adopt one of our stuffies to bring home and care for. Creatures available for adoption range in size from small to very large so be prepared to help your child make the right decision for your family and home. Stuffed animals available while they last. One adoption per child.

Friday, June 23 at Mt. Royal Branch – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Crafternoon at Mount Royal - 2:00 - 3:00 pm: Join the Mt. Royal staff for a variety of crafts. No experience necessary. Supplies are provided.

Friday, June 23 at West Duluth Branch– 5830 Grand Avenue
Baby Storytime - 2:30 - 3:00 pm: Join us for a brief storytime, ideal for babies from birth age to 24 months, then stay for early literacy playtime and socialization.

Story and Play in the Park - 9:30 am - 12:00 pm: Storytime is coming to you! Join us in a different neighborhood park each week for outdoor family storytimes at 9:30 a.m. followed by book checkout with Little Library Go and fun kids’ activities with Duluth Parks and Recreation. Geared towards children aged birth to 5 years but all ages are welcome!

Story and Play in the Park - 9:30 am - 12:00 pm: Storytime is coming to you! Maker Mondays @ Main – 2:00 – 4:00 pm: Every Monday we’ll have a new maker program to keep you inspired and having fun throughout the summer.  Some of the programs will be messy, so wear clothes that can get dirty. Geared for elementary-aged through tween. If weather permits, we’ll be outside. In case of inclement weather, we will be in the Main Library Green Room.

Monday, June 26 at Mt. Royal Branch – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Music at Mount Royal with musical guest Similar Dogs - 5:30 - 7:00 pm: Join us for music at the Mount Royal Branch! Come hear our musical guest, Similar Dogs. The acoustic duo, Joe Lindzius & Sarah Jane Hale, have a similar desire to play music that they dig, with something for everyone! Ranging from renditions of Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Dolly Parton, they’re grateful for every chance to sing together.
