[Duluth, MN] – All Duluth Public Library events are free and open to the public.

Monday, July 3 All library locations open for normal hours.

Monday, July 3 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Maker Mondays at Main – 2:00 - 4:00 pm: Every Monday we’ll have a new maker program to keep you inspired and having fun throughout the summer. Monday, July 3, we will be making porch flags using solar printing! Some of the programs will be messy, so wear clothes that can get dirty. Geared for kids elementary age to teen.

Tuesday, July 4: All library locations CLOSED for the 4th of July holiday.

Wednesday, July 5 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Main Library Family Storytime with special guest Robi Meyerson - 10:15 - 10:45 am: Join us for a special musical storytime with Robi Meyerson! Geared for birth to pre-school age kids, we will share books, songs, and fingerplays. The focus will be on having fun and sharing the joy of learning essential early literacy skills, with a musical emphasis.

Wednesday, July 5 at West Duluth Branch– 5830 Grand Avenue
West Duluth Branch Family Storytime - 10:15 - 10:45 am: Join us each Wednesday morning at the West Duluth Branch for stories, songs, and fingerplays for children from birth to kindergarten and their grownups! The focus will be on having fun and sharing the joy of learning essential early literacy skills.

Wednesday, July 5 at Mt. Royal Branch – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Mt. Royal Book Club: The Big Finish – 3:00 - 4:00 pm: The Mt. Royal Book Club meets the first Wednesday of each month to discuss various fiction and non-fiction titles. In July, we will discuss The Big Finish by Brooke Fossey. August’s selection will be Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly. Copies of each month's selection are available for check out at the library. Call or visit the DPL website (duluthlibrary.org) for availability.

Thursday, July 6 at Mt. Royal Branch – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Read to a Dog - 3:30 - 4:30 pm: Young readers elementary age to tween are invited to come read to the friendly and gentle T’asia! Bring a short, children’s book and read to this wonderful pup. Reading times will run between 5 and 10 minutes, depending on the number of participants. T'asia will be accompanied by her human, Angie Rowland. First come, first to read.

Thursday, July 6 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
City Sounds Outdoor Concert Series with Blue Water Big Band - 6:00 - 7:30 pm: The City Sounds concert series is back for another summer at the library! Join us at the Main Library’s outdoor plaza for big band and swing music from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s! This week's musical guest is local band, The Windjammers. We can’t promise the weather will be perfect, but we can promise the music will be! All ages. Rain or shine.

Friday, July 7 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Friday Morning Movies at Main: Wonder - 10:30 am - 12:30 pm: 

Join us most Fridays this summer for free movies in the Green Room! Movies are family-friendly and all ages are welcome. Movie selection for July 7 is Wonder, a coming of age story based on the New York Times bestseller. (2017/PG - 113 minutes)

Friday, July 7 at West Duluth Branch– 5830 Grand Avenue
Baby Storytime - 2:30 - 3:00 pm: Join us at the West Duluth Branch for a brief storytime, ideal for babies from birth age to 24 months, then stay for some early literacy playtime and socialization.
