Major Crimes Unit Conduct Operation
At approximately 7 p.m., Thursday, June 29, Duluth Police Major Crimes Investigators conducted an operation in an attempt to locate suspects connected to cases who had probable cause for their arrest. During the operation, Investigators arrested 36-year-old Duluth resident Samuel Carlson for Auto Theft, 43-year-old Duluth resident Edward Minerich on a Felony Warrant, and 18-year-old Duluth resident Trayvon Hale on Felony Warrants. Investigators were conducting surveillance in the 100 block of E 3rd St due to the high level of criminal activity, recent shootings, and a previous homicide. While surveilling the area, Investigators observed 31-year-old Duluth resident Dorian Singer in possession of a firearm. Singer is known to officers. Investigators confronted Singer, who was uncooperative, and detained him. He was lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm without a Permit, and Obstructing with Force. A loaded firearm was seized during the arrest.
