Community Events
Throughout the year, the Duluth Police Department aims to build strong, positive relationships with those who live, work, and play in Duluth. We are participating in four public events this summer where we’ll have the opportunity to be out and about in our community. Please join us at any or all of these events. We’d love a chance to get to know you!
- Bark in the Park – Wednesday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Wade Stadium (101 N 35th Ave W) (https://northwoodsleague.com/duluth-huskies/community/bark-in-the-park-2023/)
- The Duluth Police Foundation is partnering with the Duluth Huskies for the Bark in The Park event. This fundraising game furthers the Foundation’s mission to support DPD.
- National Night Out – Tuesday, August 1 from 5 – 9 p.m. at participating neighborhood block parties (https://duluthmn.gov/police/community-policing/national-night-out/)
- The Duluth Police Department strives to get an officer at every neighborhood block party registered in the City. This event introduces officers to our community members and establishes relationships outside of 911 calls.
- Operation K9 – Thursday, August 10 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin, Superior Football Field.
- The annual Operation K-9 event is an opportunity for the public to meet K9’s from surrounding law enforcement agencies while enjoying family-friendly activities and K9 demonstrations.
- Kids, Cops, and Cars – Thursday, August 17 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Bayfront
- This event showcases multiple law enforcement and first responder vehicles for the community to explore. It’s also an opportunity for the public to engage with officers and first responder agencies.
