Results of Downtown Housing Study to be presented in public meeting on Tuesday, September 19

[DULUTH, MN] The media and public are invited to a presentation of the results of a recent study for Duluth’s downtown, conducted by Zimmerman/Volk Associates, about the feasibility of converting unused downtown real estate spaces into housing. The presentation will be held at the Lyric Conference Center at the Holiday Inn downtown, 200 W First Street, on Tuesday, September 19 at 9:00 AM. The results will be presented by Laurie Volk, the co-managing director of Zimmerman/Volk Associates. This presentation is open to the general public and downtown stakeholders. Developers and lenders are strongly encouraged to attend.
The Downtown Housing Study is a recommendation of the Mayor’s Downtown Task Force, which was co-chaired by Kristi Stokes, President of Downtown Duluth, and Shaun Floerke, President and CEO of the Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation and seeks to study the market potential for additional housing in the downtown neighborhood.
