(DULUTH, MN) Visit the Duluth Public Library during November for dinosaur-themed scavenger hunts, crafts, STEM activities, and more! In addition to dedicated the dinosaur programs found below, many activities are available during library open hours. Stop by to explore and peruse the library's extensive collection of dinosaur-themed books, toys, games, and more!

Saturday, November 4, 2023—Dinosaur EXPLORE! • Main Library Green Room 10:00 am-12:00 pm
Join us as we investigate, dig, and excavate for all things dino. It’s all about exploration and discovery! This program is geared to children ages 5 and younger but all are welcome.

Tuesday, November 7, 2023—T. Rex Tea Party & Dino Bingo • Mt. Royal Branch Blue Room 3:00-4:00 pm
Wear your fanciest tea party attire or your best dino-themed duds to our T-Rex Tea Party! Enjoy elegant snacks, activities, and play DINO BINGO. This program is perfect for dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages.

Saturday, November 18, 2023—Dino Crafts • Main Library Green Room 10:30 am-12:30 pm
Drop in anytime for a variety of dinosaur-themed crafts! We will be making paper plate dinosaurs, clay fossils, and more. There will be paint involved, so dress for mess! Geared for ages 5-12.

Saturday, November 18, 2023—Dinoramas • Main Library Green Room 2:00 -4:00 pm
Stop by to learn about different types of dinosaurs and their habitats. Then, build your own Dinorama shoebox to take home! Shoeboxes will be provided while they last, but if you have a shoebox at home to use, bring it with you!

Wednesdays in November—Oculus VR Experience • Main Library Adult Services 2:00 -4:00 pm
Come in and celebrate Dinovember with an Oculus experience at the library! Interact with your very own pet dinosaur on our virtual reality headset. Never used virtual reality before? Don’t worry—our librarians will be here to assist you in this immersive new world. Oculus is only available for patrons 13 and older. Patrons under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Oculus will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Sessions last 20 minutes. A waiver will be provided for participants to sign before using Oculus.
