Fiber upgrades to take place on Woodland Ave

The intersection of Woodland Avenue and Arrowhead Road will be partially restricted starting Monday, October 11, 2010 due to fiberoptic upgrades by Qwest Communications. Work crews will be working in the center median with the project anticipated to take one week to ten days.

During this time, Woodland Avenue will be open to through traffic but motorists traveling in either direction will not be able to make left turns at the intersection of Arrowhead Road. Motorists northbound on Woodland Avenue will be able to make a right turn at Arrowhead Road to access Wallace Avenue. Southbound traffic will be able to make a right turn onto Arrowhead Road.

Traffic headed eastbound on Arrowhead Road will be directed south at the intersection of Woodland Avenue.  The left turn lane to northbound Woodland Avenue will be closed.

Motorists can use Carver Ave (off of Arrowhead Road) and East St. Marie Street as alternatives to alleviate possible congestion.
