City of Duluth to host monthly community workshop series on sustainability
[DULUTH, MN] – The City of Duluth’s Sustainability Office, in partnership with the Duluth Folk School, will host a series of eight monthly workshops focused on helping residents implement sustainable household practices. The community is invited to participate in Sustainable Duluth, a series of hands-on workshops at Dovetail Café & Marketplace, 1917 W Superior St, Duluth, MN 55806, every third Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, from January to August. The full schedule of topics is listed below.
Funded by the Urban Sustainability Directors Network, the series focuses on several topics, from clean heat, to waste, to solar and transportation. A list of topics with schedule is below. .
The first session on Thursday, January 18 will be focused on clean heat. Participants have the opportunity to learn how to save money on heating bills and increase home efficiency with experts from Ecolibrium3, Center for Energy and Environment, Community Action Duluth, MN Power, ComfortSystems, AEOA and MNIPL.
