DPD Responds to Hit and Run Incident
UPDATE:
After a thorough investigation into the hit-and-run incident that occurred on Thursday, January 25, Duluth Police Investigators arrested 88-year-old Duluth resident Ronald Myrdahl and lodged him at the St. Louis County Jail on pending charges of Criminal Vehicular Operation Hit and Run Gross Negligence, Hit and Run Failure to Stop for Injury Accident, and Criminal Vehicular Operation Great Bodily Harm Driver Leaves Scene.
The victim, 24-year-old Duluth resident Raymond Skoglund, is being treated at a local hospital for significant injuries related to the incident.

At approximately 5:45 p.m., Officers responded to the 9500 block of Grand Ave for a hit-and-run incident. A 24-year-old male received critical injuries and was transported by Mayo to a local hospital. A short time later, officers located a vehicle that matched the description, and the suspected driver is being questioned about their involvement. This remains an active and ongoing investigation and our Traffic Investigations Unit has been called on scene.
