Officers Respond to Report of Stabbing Victim

At approximately 9 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, Duluth Police Officers responded to a report of a stabbing where a victim was at the Chum. The victim, a 37-year-old male, received a minor stab wound to his elbow and was transported to a local hospital by Mayo Ambulance.
At the same time this call occurred, Officers responded to a suspicious activity incident in the 100 block of Mesaba Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers located a blood trail in the area. Initial investigation shows that this is where the male was originally stabbed after being involved in an altercation with a known party.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation as no suspect or knife was located at the scene.
