INCIDENT LOCATION: 6700 Block Redruth St
Duluth Police Utilize Drone Unit to Detain Individual Without Incident
At approximately 2:15 a.m., Thursday, February 1, Duluth Police Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 6700 block of Redruth St. Officers located a 35-year-old male with non-life-threatening stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital by Mayo Ambulance.
Initial investigation shows that both parties were involved in an altercation prior to the stabbing. Officers located the suspected individual who barricaded himself in a room in the apartment. Duluth Police Department’s Drone Unit and members of the Tactical Response Team were utilized to detain 44-year-old Charles Knauer without incident.
Knauer was lodged at the St Louis County Jail for pending 2nd Degree Assault and Theft Charges.
Good work to all involved for utilizing new technology to apprehend this individual quickly and safely.
