Duluth Fire Department responds to structure fire at 43 Burger Drive
[DULUTH, MN] At 2:11 PM Sunday, Duluth Fire Department was dispatched to a call of a structure fire at 43 Burger Drive. 10 Engine was the first crew on scene within three minutes to find flames on the front porch and climbing the siding to the eaves and smoke showing from the roofline of the mobile home.
Crews from Station 10, station 8, station 2, and Headquarters all responded to attack the fire. Two residents and one dog were present at the time of the fire and escaped the structure safely on their own. Approximately $50,000 in damage is estimated to the building and contents. No injuries were reported by either the residents or crews on scene. Two adults, two kids, and one dog displaced by the fire are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
Duluth Fire Department thanks their partners at Saint Louis County 911 dispatch for their assistance in the response to this incident, as well as Duluth Police Department, Minnesota Power, and the American Red Cross. Great job by all the crews working B-shift today.
The incident remains under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office.
