Duluth Police Arrest Individual on Multiple Pending Charges Including Attempted Felony Theft over $20,000
At approximately 1:20 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, Duluth Police responded to the 100 block of Chester Parkway for a report of a vehicle prowl in progress. Prior to officers arrival, the suspected individual fled the scene in a vehicle. A short time later, officers located the suspected individual and conducted a traffic stop. 23-year-old Devin Lund was detained without incident and a pistol was located in the vehicle. Lund is a prohibited person for carrying a firearm.
Lund was arrested and lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of two counts of Attempted 1st Degree Burglary, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Attempted Felony Theft over $20,000, Carrying Without a Permit, and Motor Vehicle Tampering.
Lund was involved in prior suspicious activities throughout the night, including attempting to steal a sauna that was on a trailer. Multiple other victims have came forward and the Duluth Police Department encourages you to call DPD’s Property and Financial Crimes Unit at (218)-730-5160 if you have any surveillance video of Lund in the area of Martha Street between 4 – 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 19.
