Duluth Workforce Development announces new medical office training course
[DULUTH, MN] Duluth Workforce Development, along with community partners, announces a new medical office training course. Introduction to Medical Office training may be your first step into a fulfilling career in healthcare. Duluth Workforce Development and SOAR Career Solutions, in partnership with Duluth Adult Education, and Lake Superior College, are offering this 16-week medical office training in preparation for front office and patient registration positions at clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities in Duluth and the surrounding region.
Participants in this program will gain skills in Microsoft suite software, scheduling, and medical terminology and can earn up to 4 college credits. Participants may qualify to take this training at no cost to them.
Classes will be a mix of online and in-person sessions and will feature interactions with area employers including Essentia Health and St. Luke’s. Classes are scheduled to run April 29-August 15, 2024.
