Applications available for Parks and Recreation Commission

 

The City of Duluth is accepting applications for the Parks and Recreation Commission.  There are three vacancies: one for Council District 2, one for Council District 3, and a vacancy for one member with formal education in recreation who is employed in that field.

This commission assists the Administration by making recommendations on issues that are pertinent to the development and or enhancement of existing or future recreational needs of the Duluth community. The Commission meets the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. Commission members are appointed by the Mayor, subject to City Council approval.

If you are interested in applying, applications are available by either calling the City Clerk’s Office at 730-5500, or visiting the city's web page at http://www.duluthmn.gov/clerk/boards_commissions/index.cfm.  

Applications should be submitted by Monday, November 1, 2010.  To find out which council district you live in, call the City Clerk's Office at 730-5500.
