Duluth Mayor Don Ness, County Attorney Melanie Ford, City Attorney Gunnar Johnson and leaders in domestic abuse intervention and prevention will hold a news conference to highlight new partnerships and initiatives serving the Duluth community.

 

Duluth has been a leader in developing innovative approaches and a strong community response to end domestic violence. The Duluth Model, co-founded by Ellen Pence a renowned scholar and social activist, has become a critical tool used throughout the world to end violence against women and children. Duluth is once again poised to build on that model and continue to lead the efforts with its new programs and strong collaborations.         

 

Mayor Ness and community representatives will be joined by Ellen Pence. Each representative will make brief comments and be available for questions.
