UPDATE: Duluth Police Respond to Check Welfare Incident

UPDATE: 10:30 p.m., 6/11/24:
After making contact with the female, she exited the residence peacefully and was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. There were no injuries during this incident and the area is now clear. Nice work to all involved for bringing this incident to a safe resolution.

ORIGINAL: 9:30 p.m., 6/11/24:
Officers are on scene of a check welfare incident in the 3000 block of Restormel St. Currently, members of the Duluth Police Department’s Crisis Negotiations Team are attempting to make contact with a female inside the residence who is refusing to exit. This remains an active and ongoing scene and we encourage the public to stay away from the area to allow our officers room to work.
